Tradition & innovation
A family passion
Family of winemakers since 1700, we only grow our own vineyards and make wine only from our own grapes. Our particularly suitable vineyards are located on the hill overlooking the city center.
In the ancient cellar now restored by Massimo, the precious grapes are transformed into fine wines, combining ancient wisdom with modern winemaking technology.

The territory of Lessona DOC
The townland of Lessona is situated in the midst of hills at 350 metres above sea level in the province of Biella. The name Lessona originates from the latin words "laesa sum" which translates as "I am wounded".
Its crest is in fact composed of five bleeding wounds representing the soil, which wounded by the vines, causes the red wine to flow.
The winemaking tradition of the area has been well documented over the course of time. Its soil which is particularly rich in sea sand with its characteristic acidic Ph, guarantees an excellent vine with deep roots capable of absorbing all the precious minerals.
The mild climate and ideal position of the Lessona vines means that the native vines such as Nebbiolo, Vespolina, Croatina Bonarda and Uva Rara mature slowly. The Noble wine guarantee D.O.C. (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) has been synonymous with Lessona wines since 1976.
The wine itself is unique, tasty, mineral, full-bodied with a lingering taste and a refined bouquet. It is aged for a minimum of two years, at least one of which in casks.
